GAIA is a specialist infrastructure asset manager and was borne from the team’s experience in developing infrastructure projects since the mid 2000’s in anticipation of the renewable energy programmes. Gaia pioneered the first infrastructure secondary transaction in South Africa and listed the first infrastructure investment company on the main board of the JSE, with a transaction value in excess of R3 billion on behalf of its pension fund clients and institutional investors.

Gaia also manages a Section 12J approved company, with more than 100 retail and qualified investors and 8 agribusiness and infrastructure investments under management. Gaia boasts an experienced support team of engineers, actuaries, agricultural specialists and finance professionals that ensure Gaia’s investments are rigorously assessed and actively managed.
